The whole flat roof area of the building was stripped and all rotten joists, timbers, and wall plates replaced. This required a full temporary scaffold roof to be erected to protect the building whilst these works were undertaken.

The roof was then completely re-felted and all lead flashings were replaced. The roof conservatory, used as a viewing point required structural strengthening and refurbishment works. Internally all the ceilings were taken down renewed plastered and decorated.

Electrics were renewed, timber handrails manufactured and fitted, doors replaced and visitor areas decorated
