Full-time carpenter required for reactive maintenance contract working throughout Hampshire and dealing with the public.

Essential Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2
  • Driver’s License
  • CSCS Card

Desirable Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3
  • First Aid

In house training provided:

  • PASMA
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Manual Handling
  • Working at Height

Specification and Responsibilities:

  • Install structures and fixtures such as windows
  • Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes
  • Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools
  • Measure, cut or shape wood, plastic and other materials using hand tools, machines or power tools
  • Locate and order required materials
  • Follow drawing and specifications to meet the needs of clients
  • Follow health and safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Emergency repairs
  • Complete Daywork Sheets on tablets, providing actions and written progress report
  • Ad hoc tasks

Plumber

Full-time plumber required for reactive maintenance contract working throughout Hampshire and dealing with the public.

Specification and Responsibilities:

  • Interpret building plans and specifications to map layout of pipes, drainage systems and other plumbing materials
  • Follow health and safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks
  • Assemble pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
  • Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, and fixtures in structures, using measuring instruments such as rulers and levels
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angle, using hand and power tools
  • Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers and water heaters, and fixtures such as sinks and toilets, using hand and power tools
  • Repair and maintain plumbing, replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, and opening clogged drains
  • Emergency repairs
  • Locate and order required materials
  • Complete Daywork Sheets on tablets, providing actions and written progress report
  • Contribute to the continual improvement and participation in the IMS
  • Ad hoc tasks
